Spouse Shop

Recently a shopping multicomplex was open, in which people could shop for… spouses.

On one side of the street, there was a shop, where women could purchase a husband. On the door it said:

The shop has 6 floors. The characteristics of men improve with each floor.
There are only 3 rules that must be followed while shopping here:
1. You are only allowed entrance once.
2. You can choose any spouse you desire on your current floor, or move to a higher floor.
3. Once you climb up to a higher floor, you are not allowed to move back down to a lower floor.
»

And thus women would enthusiastically enter the building.
On the first floor, there was a sign that said:

»These men have a job.«

The group of women that was in the shop at the time read the sign, looked at each other and decided to move to the next floor.

On the next floor was a sign that read:

»These men have a job and love kids.«

Again, the women looked at each other and enthusiastically proceeded to climb to the next floor:

»These men have a job, love children and are incredibly handsome.«

A few of the women in the group hesitated for a moment but then, bursting with curiosity, the women again all decide to climb to the next storey:

»These men have a job, love children, are incredibly handsome and help with choirs.«

Without hesitation all the women burst up the stairs to the fifth floor:

»These men have a job, love children, are incredibly handsome, help with choirs and are very romantic.«

Depending on how fast the women could read, they would all, sooner or later, shoving each other aside, rush up the stairs into the last, 6th floor.

The last woman of the group to reach the 6th floor, to her amazement, noticed, that the floor was completely empty. The only thing that could be seen on it, was an electronic billboard that said:

»
Welcome! You are visitor no. 31.456.012.

There are NO men on this floor.
We have built this floor to prove that it is impossible to satisfy a woman.

Acroos the street was another 6-story building that looked pretty much the same as the first one. The only difference was that here men could purchase a wife.

The rules were the same as in the previous store.

The sign on the 1st floor said: »Women that love sex.«
The sign on the 2nd floor said: »Women that love sex and don't bitch too much.«

None of the other floors have ever been visited.
